As our R&D Lab Maintenance Technician
, you’ll play a key role in keeping our compressor and chiller test platforms running safely, reliably, and on schedule—so our engineering teams can develop and validate leading-edge, oil‑free refrigeration compressor technology.
Your impact? You’ll help ensure tests are executed correctly, data is captured and verified against required conditions, and lab assets stay ready through basic maintenance and documentation. The result is higher test uptime, better data quality, and faster learning cycles for new product development.
You’ll collaborate with R&D lab team members and project engineers, taking ownership of safe test execution, basic troubleshooting, and maintenance support that helps us operate in a more efficient and dependable way.
What You’ll Be Doing- Safely operate test platforms (including gas cycle test rigs and chiller systems) and follow established test procedures
- Execute basic compressor-related tests, generate test data, and verify required test conditions are met
- Communicate test progress, issues, and observations with lab teammates and project engineers
- Perform basic troubleshooting to identify and resolve test or equipment issues during execution
- Complete directed basic maintenance activities (e.g., leak checks, sensor calibration) and update maintenance documentation per department procedures
- Active EPA 608 Universal Certification (required)
- Meets DTC Test Technician 01 education and experience requirements
- Detailed knowledge of refrigeration cycle fundamentals and hands‑on understanding of HVAC/chiller operation
- Ability to operate external measuring equipment (e.g., meters, data acquisition/DAQ equipment) and work with test data confidently
- Ability to complete required safety/environmental training and work safely in a hands‑on lab environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
