Water​/Wastewater Project Manager

• Scoping, planning, managing, directing and monitoring all aspects of medium to large drinking water and wastewater projects and contracts with high degrees of technical complexity.
• Serving as the trust client-facing project manager for a variety of technical delivery projects.
• Developing project design criteria, schematics and methods.
• Preparing preliminary design, basis of design reports, routing and alignment studies, and other engineering reports.
• Developing and writing engineering specifications and front-end documents.
• Overseeing the production of design drawings.
• Developing and executing QA/QC and risk management plans for each project.
• Working directly with the owner to ensure that the project exceeds the owner's expectations.
• Leading and/or supporting client management and business development activities including pursuit planning, proposals, interviews, and client strategy.
• If needed, performing process-related or detailed design work themselves to support the project, requiring an exceptional demonstrated technical background.
• Collaborating with leadership, other project managers, and technical staff across Florida to maintain HDR's commitment to excellent technical delivery, including mentoring, quality control, abstract development, and review of scopes of work.
• Supporting or leading client management activities (internal client management calls, client meetings) and participating in overall strategy discussions for marketing with clients.

• Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (e.g., Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license).
• Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Experience supervising staff.
• Experience with Microsoft Project.
• Preference given to local candidates.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 7 years related experience.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years project management experience.
• Must be able to interact with various design teams and have excellent organizational, project management and communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Must have an attitude and commitment to actively participate in our employee-owned culture.
