Duration: 12-Month Contract

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects within the Engineering & Construction (E&C) Business Unit. This role is responsible for coordinating internal and external project resources from early-stage development through construction handoff.

The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects simultaneously across various stages of development within a North American portfolio. This role requires strong cross-functional coordination, financial oversight, and stakeholder engagement to ensure projects are technically sound and financially viable.

In this role, you will manage and support multiple BESS projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading cross-functional coordination across Development, Engineering, Estimating, Supply Chain, Scheduling, and Construction teams.
• Managing project activities from early-stage development through construction readiness.
• Developing and refining project technical scope.
• Optimizing technical and financial variables to enhance project feasibility.
• Supporting Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and Grid Interconnection Agreement (GIA) negotiations.
• Coordinating environmental, regulatory, cultural, land acquisition, and interconnection requirements.
• Supporting jurisdictional and permitting needs.
• Coordinating engineering design, estimating, and procurement requirements.
• Supporting financial model development and ensuring overall model health using market data.
• Presenting financial models and project updates to leadership for executive budget approvals.
• Negotiating and executing commercial contracts for services including geotechnical, survey, engineering, and EPC/PC construction.
• Managing critical project data, deliverables, and reporting through various software platforms.
• Presenting project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to management.
• Supporting process improvement initiatives to scale operations.
• Ensuring seamless transition of projects to Construction Project Managers with executable construction plans.
• Engaging with executive leadership, suppliers, regulatory agencies, and local communities as required.
• Supporting occasional travel for project site visits and public hearings.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Strong project management and cross-functional coordination experience
• Excellent communication, analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or Accounting
• Experience in renewable energy, electricity markets, and/or battery storage projects
• PMP certification
• Experience in engineering and construction of renewable energy projects

• Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects at varying stages simultaneously
• Strong negotiation and contract management experience
• Ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed organization
• Experience presenting to executive leadership
• Proficiency with project management and reporting software tools
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
