POSITION SUMMARY
This is an entry-level position. Employee will gain skills through structured training and guided on-the-job-training. This position will involve both time in the field at project sites and office time. Supervisor screens assignments for unusual or difficult problems and selects techniques and procedures to be applied to non-routine work. Receive close supervision on new aspects of assignments. Progression will require an employee to demonstrate skills and knowledge of the position they currently hold.
Employee remains at each position for at least 24 months.

- Follow the dictates and recommendations of the Safety Department.
- Use prescribed methods to perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
- Apply standard practices and techniques in specific situations.
- Adjust and correlate data.
- Recognize discrepancies in technical data.
- Follow operations through a series of related, detailed steps or processes.
- Prepare supporting data tables in Excel.
- Prepare supporting figures in CAD.
- Assist with preparing above ground and underground storage tank drawings and specifications.
- Assist with procuring environmental and construction permits.
- Provide technical assistance to the Construction Division to assist with engineering and/or environmental issues that may impact project schedules and budgets.
- Assist with obtaining vendor/subcontractor quotes.
- Oversee subcontractors in the field, including drillers, surveyors, waste removal, etc.
- Work as part of a team or individually.
- Be familiar with CEI Corporate HASP or project-specific HASP, as required.
- Knowledge and ability to carry out a sequence of related engineering tasks;
- Exercise limited judgment on the details of work;
- Make preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives;
- Possess excellent writing skills;
High School graduate.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or working towards that is preferred.
EXPERIENCE0-2 Years’ Experience
COMPUTER SKILLS- Proficient in Microsoft Office;
- Knowledge of AutoCAD preferred
- Driver’s license
- First Aid/CPR Training
- 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER
- OSHA 10 Hour in the Construction Industry Course
- Hearing and vision within normal ranges are essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information, and to prepare, inspect, or review documents.
- Activities require the ability to remain in a stationary position roughly 50% of the time and move about an office and/or work site the other half of the time.
- Occasional heavy lifting (30+ lb / 13.6+ kg) can be expected, though exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force is more common. Need good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment (e.g., computers, mobile devices, copiers).

- Frequent bending, twisting, and standing
- Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather conditions
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must wear required PPE, including steel-toed boots in the field, may be necessary to wear protective eye-wear, may be necessary to wear hearing protection, and the ability to travel by car.
WORK ENVIRONMENTWork will involve regular work time at our Medley headquarters, combined with regular work time in an outdoor, construction project environment, which involves exposure to all weather conditions, such as hot, humid, rainy, and/or snowy winters.
