Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Overview

Terracon is looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer. The position can be remotely based in Florida, hybrid, or based in a Terracon Florida office.

• Provide engineering and consulting services for a broad array of projects and clients, including field investigations, engineering analysis, calculations, design, and preparation of related reports.
• Review drawings and construction to assure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Prepare proposals and cost estimates, track and evaluate project progress, budgets, and recommend changes.
• Research and resolve design and construction problems, and evaluate laboratory or field data for inclusion in reports.
• Apply sound engineering principles and communicate complex engineering issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with project-related risk policies and promote safe, high-quality work environments.
• Lead safety efforts, quality monitoring, and continuous improvement on projects.
• Provide technical direction for routine, unique, or complex projects and propose innovative investigative techniques.
• Develop and supervise engineering work schedules, conduct quality reviews, and lead technical training.
• Collaborate on marketing, sales, and business development initiatives.
• Supervise less experienced engineers or technical support personnel.
• Serve as a Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 8–11 years of experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
• Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer status required.

• Authorized Project Reviewer status preferred.
