Overview
Supply Chain Management (SCMI1) has an exciting opportunity in support of Southeast Regional Maintenance Center (SERMC) for an Engineering Technician with a mechanical focus.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate experience independently or lead a team of technicians in troubleshooting, repairing or testing US Naval ship structural, mechanical systems.
- Demonstrate experience independently or lead a team performing formal material condition assessments (TSRA, ICMP, INSURV or similar) of US Navy ships systems.
- Communicate troubleshooting issues and assessments with official reports.
- Document experience with MS Office, NMD, eDFS, NSEDR, and/or TASS-Info.
- The experience required is a combination of mechanical and electrical disciplines, but is primarily mechanical in nature.
- Assessment and oversight of repairs of U.S. Navy ships’ compressed air systems and Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (AC&R) systems.
- Interpreting naval engineering drawings and piping diagrams.
