Danfoss Turbocor Global Headquarters in Tallahassee, Florida is seeking a dynamic Automation & Controls Engineer to join our team. You’ll help power reliable, safe, and efficient manufacturing by designing and improving the control systems that keep our operations running. Your work will directly impact uptime, quality, and safety across production lines. By partnering closely with process, mechanical, and maintenance teams, you’ll turn complex automation challenges into practical solutions that support continuous improvement.

- Design and support PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems to improve equipment performance, reliability, and safety.
- Commission, start up, and debug automated equipment to ensure smooth, on-time production.
- Troubleshoot control system issues and optimize logic to increase uptime and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to integrate new equipment and deliver automation upgrades.
- Create and maintain clear control system documentation to support long‑term maintainability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Controls Engineering, or a related discipline
- 3–7 years of professional experience in industrial automation or controls engineering
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff)
- Familiarity with HMI/SCADA platforms (e.g., Factory Talk, WinCC, Ignition)
- Solid understanding of control theory fundamentals (PID loops, motion control, sensors, actuators)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&IDs
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem‑solving skills
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Knowledge of industrial networks and communication protocols
- Experience with servo systems, robotics, or advanced automation technologies
- Understanding of safety systems (SIL ratings, safety PLCs, machine safety standards)
- Exposure to data acquisition systems and Industry 4.0 concepts
- Programming skills in structured text, ladder logic, or function block diagrams
- Familiarity with version control tools and documentation best practices
