THE WORK

We are looking for individuals with an aptitude in engineering and a desire to learn. We provide the resources, guidance, and mentorship to help train. You provide the technical support needed to solve complex challenges.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Engineering Aide to join our dynamic AFSOC ACTS engineering team.

As an Engineering Aide, you will work closely with our team of software, systems, and test engineers to provide essential support to the overall engineering process in development and sustainment of high fidelity fight simulators. The support will include collecting and analyzing data, coordinating quarterly software build activities, preparing reports and presentations, and organizing and maintaining engineering documents and records.

WHO YOU ARE

You possess at least a high school diploma, have taken high school level classes in engineering, advanced math and sciences, computer science, or other technical classes, and have a desire to work in engineering and technology. You have a growth mindset with willingness to learn, grow, and provide technical support to engineers.

This position is located at customer facilities at Hurlburt Field, Florida.

Note:

This position will require the selected candidate to have or obtain an Interim Secret level U.S. government security clearance before starting with Lockheed Martin. US citizenship is needed for consideration.

Basic Qualifications:

* High School Diploma, and/or equivalent

experience with less than 1 year of professional

engineering experience

* Must be able to work full time, 40 hour/week

schedule

* Basic understand of STEM (science, technology,

engineering, and math) principles as well as the

ability to interpret, generate, and present

technical material

* Ability to tackle technical assignments often

requiring learning or developing additional skills

* Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments, including Engineering, Configuration Management, and Cyber Security

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Desired

Skills:

* Familiarity with engineering processes, project planning and product life cycle

* Strong written and verbal communication; ability to interpret meeting outcomes and produce status reports

* Excellent time‑management, multitasking, and attention‑to‑detail skills

Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
