Overview: We are seeking an experienced Welding Engineer to join our team in Gibsonton, FL. The Welding Engineer will develop and implement welding techniques, procedures, and equipment applications to support the fabrication of metals, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency across all operations. Key Responsibilities- Develop welding procedures and techniques to support production needs.
- Conduct research and testing to improve welding processes and equipment.
- Prepare detailed technical reports on welding projects and process improvements.
- Establish welding procedures for complex materials and critical joints.
- Evaluate new developments in welding for potential application to production.
- Direct and coordinate inspections to ensure compliance with welding procedures and certification requirements.
- Perform experimental welding to test new equipment, techniques, and materials.
- Investigate and resolve welding issues in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members across departments to maintain a safe, efficient, and high-quality production environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Welding Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong understanding of AWS and ASME welding guidelines.
- Ability to read and interpret welding requirements, technical drawings, and inspection guidelines.
- Excellent technical report writing and communication skills.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- 1–2 years of experience in a welding engineering or related role.
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
