Job Description

I. Job Summary

Manage the Landfill Gas to Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Facility to maximize production, ensure safety, environmental compliance, and coordinate with landfill management. The RNG Plant Manager will operate and maintain equipment such as gas processing equipment, compressors, H2S removal systems, Nitrogen Removal Unit, and Pressure Swing Absorber.

II. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced instrument and control repair, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
  • Capture data, evaluate performance, and operate within budgets, ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Organize and manage plant outages and projects, maintaining detailed records.
  • Operate instrumentation and process control systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors and manage plant maintenance and compliance issues.
  • Inspect, repair, and service equipment per SOPs and policies.
  • Implement safety policies and ensure adherence by all personnel.
  • Complete safety and operational training.
  • Procure supplies and manage the budget.
  • Respond promptly to plant shutdowns, diagnose issues, and restore operation.
  • Maintain inventory records and complete special tasks as assigned.
  • Work as a team, communicate professionally, and follow safety protocols.
  • Work on electrical systems, troubleshoot low voltage DC/AC, and perform minor repairs.
  • Use computer skills for communication and operational adjustments.

III. Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience: 5 years in plant operations or maintenance.

  • Driver license in state required.
  • Knowledge of data entry, fiduciary responsibilities, lifting (100 lbs), travel, electrical circuits, and process understanding.

Preferred: RNG operations, gas processing, pipeline experience, controls, landfill gas, HVAC, electrical drawings, project management.

IV. Work Environment

Combination of office and plant environment. Requires use of standard office equipment. Salaried position with potential overtime.
