SABG is hiring a Construction Inspector to support Civil Engineer and Acquisition Support Services at the Hurlburt Field, FL. Travel :
On-site. No travel outside the perimeter of Hurlburt Field is expected.
JOB TITLE:

CLEARANCE: U.S. national personnel require a minimum of a NACI/SF85
LOCATION:
Hurlburt Field, FL Selected candidates will contribute to a comprehensive suite of Design and Construction Support Services delivered on behalf of the 1st Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron (1 SOCES) at Hurlburt Field, Florida. All work products shall meet high quality standards, be submitted on schedule, and be performed on-site at Hurlburt Field. Scope of services encompasses oversight of professional services activities;
studies, analyses, and technical evaluations; and the application of specialized engineering and technical knowledge. Personnel will be assigned to support either the Engineering Flight (CEN) or the Operations Flight (CEO).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• We are seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to serve as a quality assurance and compliance resource on DoD and commercial facility and infrastructure construction projects at Hurlburt Field. This role is embedded within the Engineering Flight (CEN) and is responsible for verifying that construction activities conform to approved plans, project specifications, and applicable regulatory and safety standards.
• Conduct systematic inspections of construction activities across DoD and commercial facility, infrastructure, and utility system projects.
• Confirm that contractor work conforms to approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable federal, Air Force, and local construction codes.
• Document inspection results, prepare detailed reports, and communicate findings and identified deficiencies to relevant project personnel.
• Engage with engineers, project managers, and contractors to facilitate resolution of inspection discrepancies and corrective actions.
• Contribute to quality control and quality assurance programs throughout the full construction project lifecycle.
• Design Management Support (Applicable Requirements) o Deliverable Review:
Conduct and document technical reviews of A/E contractor submittals within one week of receipt. Evaluations shall address functional accuracy, technical completeness, and conformance with applicable regulations and standards. Review deliverables shall include a formal written recommendation for government acceptance or rejection. o Documentation:
Provide administrative and records management support, including organization of program files and preparation of meeting minutes from regulatory and partnering sessions conducted at Hurlburt Field.
• Core duty hours are . Personnel may be required to work outside these hours as needed to meet PWS deliverable timelines.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• A minimum of ten (10) years of direct experience in construction inspection of DoD or commercial facility, infrastructure, and utility systems projects.

SKILLS:
• Skills in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
• Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
