Senior Civil Engineer (PE) - Transportation / Roadway FDOT
Location:
Tampa/Tavares/Orlando, Florida. The role requires a Florida Professional Engineer (PE) License. The successful candidate will join Halff’s Florida Transportation / Roadway Practice.
- Work under a Transportation Team Leader in the development of roadway design projects for the FDOT
- Collaborate closely with design staff, consultants, and clients to deliver projects contributing to the growth and safety of Florida roadways
- Assist in managing the workload of design staff including other Engineers, EITs, and technical staff
- Assist in development and management of project scopes, budgets, and schedules
- Review transportation designs and detailed plans for accuracy and consistency
- Report on project progress
- Collaborate with clients and other consultants
- Work with the Transportation Team Leader and Operations Manager in business development activities
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or an ABET accredited equivalent
- At least 8 years of experience in civil, public works, or transportation project delivery, with at least 4 years post PE License
- Experience with FDOT
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Florida
- Ability to lead a project and supervise technical staff
- Demonstrated ability to design and review in Micro Station
- Ability to design, oversee and review roadway projects for FDOT and local municipalities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
