Graduate Engineer II, Transportation

Roadway Engineer (PE / EI) – Transportation – Tallahassee, FL Halff is seeking a Civil Engineer with a Professional Engineering License (PE) in Florida or an Engineer Intern (EI) certification to join their Transportation/Roadway team.

• Work under a Professional Engineer (PE) Transportation Team Leader on roadway design projects.
• Collaborate closely with other design staff, consultants, and clients to deliver projects that enhance Florida roadways.
• Manage multiple transportation projects in support of business needs.
• Assist in developing and managing project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Review transportation designs and detailed plans for accuracy and consistency.

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or an ABET‑accredited equivalent.
• Professional Engineer License (PE) in Florida or Engineer Intern Certification (EI), or willing to obtain within 6 months of start.
• At least 2 years of experience in transportation project delivery.
• Experience with Micro Station (or AutoCAD).
• Understanding of basic roadway design (roadway design manual, AASHTO).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude, self‑directed yet a team player, focused on quality, integrity, and success.
• Experience with Open Roads Designer (ORD) is a plus.
• FDOT experience preferred, but not required.
