Roadway Engineer (PE / EI) – Transportation – Tallahassee, FL Halff is seeking a Civil Engineer with a Professional Engineering License (PE) in Florida or an Engineer Intern (EI) certification to join their Transportation/Roadway team.
What you will do- Work under a Professional Engineer (PE) Transportation Team Leader on roadway design projects.
- Collaborate closely with other design staff, consultants, and clients to deliver projects that enhance Florida roadways.
- Manage multiple transportation projects in support of business needs.
- Assist in developing and managing project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
- Review transportation designs and detailed plans for accuracy and consistency.
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or an ABET‑accredited equivalent.
- Professional Engineer License (PE) in Florida or Engineer Intern Certification (EI), or willing to obtain within 6 months of start.
- At least 2 years of experience in transportation project delivery.
- Experience with Micro Station (or AutoCAD).
- Understanding of basic roadway design (roadway design manual, AASHTO).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive attitude, self‑directed yet a team player, focused on quality, integrity, and success.
- Experience with Open Roads Designer (ORD) is a plus.
- FDOT experience preferred, but not required.
