Location: Tallahassee
This intermediate environmental position with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection performs technical work on water quality and quantity aspects of Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs), mixing zone limitations, and model development activities. The role involves investigating water quality parameters, preparing technical reports, conducting field surveys, and supporting TMDL and watershed management initiatives in Tallahassee, FL.
Key Qualifications- At least six years of related experience in engineering, environmental science, chemistry, or related fields
- Post-secondary degree in engineering, environmental science, chemistry, natural sciences, or public health (may substitute for experience)
- Knowledge of biological, chemical, and physical processes related to water quality and aquatic environments
- Skill in statistical analysis, mathematical modeling, and assessment of surface water quality data
- Proficiency with MS Office products for preparing technical reports
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally
