** Planning and Development Services is seeking a Right-of-Way (ROW) Permitting Specialist to join our Land Development team. ** About the Position
** In this role, you will...
* Review Right-of-Way (ROW) Use permit applications to ensure compliance with the Unified Development Code and applicable regulations.
* Conduct field inspections on private, public, and County-owned properties to verify compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
* Assist with the review of subdivision, site, and development plans as part of the permitting process.
* Help support safe, efficient, and compliant land development projects throughout the community.
* Collaborate with planners, inspectors, engineers, and other County staff to move projects forward.
* Provide backup support for Land Development Inspectors by assisting with field inspections and related activities.
* Contribute to maintaining high standards for development while helping protect the County's infrastructure and public spaces.#
** About the Schedule

*** Full-time, 40 hours per week.

* Typical Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (
* no weekends!*)

** About You
**** To be considered for this role, you
** must
** have the following:
*** High School Diploma or its equivalent
*** and
* ** 4+ years of total experience in inspecting.
* ** OR:
** College or university-level training in an appropriate field may be substituted on a
* year-for-year
* basis for the required experience.
* Valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of hire.

* ** candidate has the following knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:

** Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university preferred.
* Passed the Florida Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam,

* ** able to obtain it within six months of hire.
* Knowledge of drainage structure construction methods, materials, tools, and equipment.
* Ability to read and interpret subdivision, drainage, and construction plans with accuracy.
* Experience conducting field inspections and evaluating construction projects for compliance.
* Familiarity with stormwater hydrology, hydraulics, surveying, construction practices, scheduling, and pavement design.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, Microsoft Office, and computer skills, with the ability to quickly learn County software and systems.
