Sr. Quality Engineer - Design for Quality
The Impact You'll Make

At Danfoss, you’ll work on oil-free centrifugal technologies powering high-growth applications like data centers and heat pumps. This role focuses on how products perform in the field, ensuring they deliver quality and reliability over time.

As a Senior Quality Engineer – Design for Quality (DfQ), you will connect field performance, customer feedback, and failure analysis back into engineering decisions. Your work ensures that quality, reliability, and customer expectations are not just designed—but continuously improved through data-driven insights.

Your work will strengthen how teams learn from failures, solve problems, and continuously improve products, driving better outcomes for customers and the business.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Build a closed-loop quality system that turns field issues, customer feedback, and failures into stronger product requirements, design improvements, and release decisions
  • Lead and elevate 8D problem-solving practices, driving root cause validation, robust corrective actions, and continuous improvement across teams
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure quality and reliability are designed in, identifying risks early and strengthening validation strategies
  • Guide product release readiness, ensuring decisions are supported by clear risk assessments, completed testing, and actionable mitigation plans
  • Translate voice of customer (VOC), warranty data, and field performance into insights that improve design standards and future product outcomes
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in quality, reliability, or product engineering, including Design for Quality (DfQ), DFMEA, and validation planning
  • Proven expertise in 8D problem solving, root cause analysis, and working with field/warranty data (e.g., Excel, Minitab, Power BI). Six Sigma Black Belt certification Preferred.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive outcomes without direct authority
  • Strong understanding of product development and design processes, with a focus on preventing quality issues early.
What You’ll Get from Us
  • We promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.
  • You’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Your well-being matters to us.
  • We strive to create an inclusive work environment where people of all backgrounds are respected, and valued for who they are.
  • You’ll receive benefits like annual bonus, paid vacation, pension plans, personal insurance, and more. These vary by country and contract, but they’re worth asking about—we think they’re pretty great.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or other protected category.
