As the pioneer and world leader of the oil-free centrifugal compressor product category with its award winning Variable Speed, Magnetic Bearing Compressors, Danfoss Turbocor is dedicated to the design, manufacture, marketing and support of the world’s most efficient commercial refrigerant compressors. The result is the world’s first totally oil-free compressor specifically designed for the HVAC industry.

The Electronics team is enhancing the embedded microprocessor based electronic controls and customer experience for our next generation of products. The successful candidate will play an integral part in architecting and developing the real-time control system for this new exciting platform based on industry leading design concepts and technologies with our team in Tallahassee, FL. In addition, this role will support our existing products which are in production.

• Understand electronics circuit schematics and PCB designs
• Lead the design and development of electronic circuit through:
  Understanding product requirements, Drafting sub assembly specifications, Architectural design or Component selection.
• Work with a team of engineers and technicians to achieve technical objectives
• Testing electronics subassemblies by:
  Drafting test specifications and Setting up test fixtures
• Work collaboratively across cross functional teams at Danfoss Turbocor

• Minimum bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with more than 5 years of relevant experience.
• Hands on experience and advanced understanding of Electronic components like Op-amps, filters, capacitors, resistors, inductors and transformers, Power converters topologies (Buck, Linear, Flyback, Etc), Temperature sensors, relays, stepper motors for industrial applications, Electronics design process (example: simulation, circuit design, PCB layout etc)
• Experienced with Microsoft Office tools, PSPICE and electronic circuit simulation tools
• Experienced user of oscilloscopes, multimeters, soldering iron and microscopes
• Ability to interact cross functionally with team members across functional areas
