Senior Project Estimator

Duties:

• Develop conceptual and early-stage cost estimates for large-scale transmission line projects.
• Perform route assessments, quantity takeoffs, and scope development from limited project information.
• Analyze engineering drawings, geotechnical reports, and technical documentation to refine estimates.
• Utilize Excel-based estimating tools and models to develop accurate project costs.
• Present estimates, assumptions, risks, and cost drivers to project teams and stakeholders.
• Update and reconcile estimates as project scope, routing, or design changes occur.
• Support multiple projects concurrently throughout the development lifecycle.

• 5+ years of transmission line estimating experience.
• Experience developing conceptual estimates with limited engineering inputs.
• Strong understanding of transmission line construction methods, materials, and cost drivers.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and estimate development.
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, lookups, and data analysis.
• Ability to communicate technical information and estimate assumptions to stakeholders.
• Utility, power delivery, or transmission infrastructure experience.

• 10+ years of transmission estimating experience.
• EPC experience with firms such as Quanta, Kiewit, Burns & McDonnell, or similar.
• Utility, developer, or owner-operator experience.
• Substation estimating or broader power delivery experience.
• Field construction, project management, or engineering experience.
• Experience reviewing route studies, geotechnical reports, and engineering packages.
• Engineering or Construction Management degree (not required with relevant experience).
