This intermediate environmental position in the Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Office of Resilience and Coastal Protection supports the Florida Resilient Program by providing technical assistance for planning, funding, permitting, and monitoring of resilience adaptation projects. The role requires broad knowledge of engineering, geology, data science, GIS, and environmental science, and involves grant management, project technical reviews, application evaluation, and coordination with state and federal agencies to improve coastal and inland flood resilience.
Keyqualifications:
- At least six years of verifiable related experience (or post-secondary degree as alternative on year-for-year basis)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ArcGIS desktop and mobile applications
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
- Skilled in methods of collecting, compiling, organizing, and analyzing data
- Ability to apply critical thinking for planning and infrastructure problems
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel
