ResponsibilitiesThis role typically:
- Patrols The Ringling's 66 acres of buildings, galleries, and grounds as assigned.
- Monitor visitor activity to ensure:
Safety of staff and visitors;
Adherence to all policies/procedures;
Protection of the collection, buildings, and grounds while guarding against theft, vandalism, and other damage
- Briefly answers guest questions with a focus on customer service and creating a welcoming environment for our visitor population.
- Conducts daily inspections of assigned areas and reports:
Safety issues;
Damages or necessary repairs;
Water intrusion or leaks
As needed this role:
- Assists with emergency situations by communicating with the appropriate point of contact.
- Escorting staff and guests as assigned.
This role must present a professional image in line with internal dress code.
Qualifications- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to:
Stand and walk for long periods of time;
Ascend/descend stairs;
Ability to work in all types of weather conditions - Valid Driver's License or ability to obtain prior to hire
- Driver's permits are not allowable
- Previous customer service experience.
- Experience in a museum or non-profit organization.
- Ability to:
Promote a welcoming work/education environment;
Respond in a calm manner to urgent/emergency situations.

$15.45 (28 hours a week)
- Eligible for $5 per hour pay additive for working special events.

- Week 1:
Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM - Week 2:
Friday, Monday, and Thursday from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM (8 PM clock out time on Thursdays with scheduled events)
