Fraud Supervisor

Responsible for supporting Fraud Specialists Team to ensure investigations are conducted accurately and efficiently. Directs and supervises staff responsible for carrying out basic to complex investigations and determining if fraud has occurred. Provides guidance and oversight to Specialists collecting evidence to support determination of fraudulent activity. Ensures staff has the utmost attention to detail when carrying out investigations, and coordinates with Program Leadership as needed.

• Supervises and monitors day-to-day activities of Fraud Specialists to ensure all investigations are completed efficiently and accurately.
• Ensures document processes are strictly followed by Fraud Specialist, including applying judgement-based services while conducting audits and investigations into potentially fraudulent activity.
• Uses automated platform and various reporting mechanisms to monitor accounts and transactions for fraudulent activity through anomalies in behavior and pattern recognition.
• Point of escalation for complex fraud investigations. Provides guidance to Fraud team members as needed.
• Drives and manages analytical efforts in areas specific to business function and industry focus.
• Reviews investigation results and recommendations for resolution provided by Fraud Specialists.
• Stays up to date on current trends and tools related to identifying fraud and conducting investigations.
• Identifies and analyzes new and emerging patterns of fraud and works with internal and external stakeholders to implement new controls.
• Reviews various reports and customer information to identify and limit potential fraudulent actions on customer accounts.

• Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
• 4-6 years of Customer Service or Public Relations Experience. Financial Analysis, Risk Compliance or Fraud Experience Preferred. 0-2 years of management experience.

• Ability to organize and supervise staff for maximum efficiency.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and transactions, including Case Management Software.
• Ability to build, coach and mentor effective teams.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing financial documentation and transactions.
• Knowledge of banking regulatory guidelines, retirement funds, loans, and account transfers.
• Utilization of analytical and statistical tools
• Ability to foster strong relationships and rapport with customers and team members.
• Ability to adapt to new processes and procedures.
• Ability to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace.
• Capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
• A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required.

Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience. The compensation displayed for this role is a general guideline based on these factors and is unique to each role.
