This is a full-time On-Site Underwriter role located in South Bay, FL. The Underwriter will assess and evaluate borrowers’ financial information, creditworthiness, and loan applications to ensure compliance with company and regulatory guidelines. Responsibilities include reviewing documentation, calculating debt-to-income ratios, identifying risks, and making sound lending decisions. The role also involves effective communication with loan officers, processors, and other stakeholders to facilitate loan approvals and ensure efficient processing.
Qualifications- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills related to mortgage underwriting
- Proficiency in assessing financial statements, credit reports, and income documentation
- Knowledge of mortgage loan products, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and multitasking abilities
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with internal teams and external partners
- Experience with automated underwriting systems (AUS) and loan origination software (LOS)
- Prior underwriting experience in the mortgage or financial services industry preferred
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field is highly desirable - Ability to work on-site in South Bay, FL
