The purpose of the Committee is to promote, maintain, and enhance the independence and objectivity of the internal audit function by ensuring broad audit coverage; adequate consideration of audit reports; and appropriate action on recommendations. Adopts an annual plan of work for the Auditor and oversees the work of the Auditor.

Eligibility Criteria- Must have experience as a public accountant, internal auditor, or as a financial manager for a public, private, or a not-for-profit institution (may be retired).
- Must be a resident of Leon County.
- May not be an employee or officer of the Leon County.
- 3 appointed by the Clerk of Courts
- 2 appointed by the Board of County Commissioners

No member shall serve more than three consecutive terms per AAC bylaws. Vacancies are filled for the remainder of the unexpired term.
