Senior Staff Accountant – MRO Business Division, Medley, FL (Reporting to the MRO Business Unit Controller). This role manages financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. Collaborates with cross‑functional teams and provides insights to drive informed decision‑making. Detail-oriented, analytical, and familiar with accounting principles and aviation industry dynamics.

Responsibilities- Prepare, review, and reconcile financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in month‑end and year‑end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Monitor and analyze general ledger accounts, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Controller to develop and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- Participate in audits and respond to inquiries, providing necessary documentation to auditors.
- Perform variance analysis to identify trends, deviations, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Work directly with the Controller on various department projects as needed.
- Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation preferred.
- Minimum of four years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in aviation or related industries.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and relevant financial regulations.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems.
- Exceptional analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities.
