Location:
Trenton ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Relationship Building
- Examining multiple facets of customer interpersonal interactions
- Providing preparation for diverse customer meetings
- Building rapport with customers
- Using open and closed-ended questions to document current and future financial goals of customers
- Matching customer needs to Seacoast Bank products and services
- Confidently explaining Seacoast Bank products and services to customers
- Creating and enhancing relationships based on customer needs
- Requesting referrals from new and existing customers
- Demonstrating good listening skills and speaking clearly and persuasively in both positive and negative situations
- Responding promptly to customer needs and requests for service
- Seeking appropriate assistance for more complex financial matters
- Balancing business needs with customer requests while minimizing risk to the bank
- Adopting new technology and staying informed on industry changes to foster innovation
- Participating in community, charitable or civic events
- Collaborating with associates within the branch and across the organization
- Developing an introductory understanding of consumer deposit and lending products and processes
- Developing proficiency in outbound calling
- Identifying referral opportunities with internal business partners
- Observing presentations on banking products and services via networking events
- Understanding customer-facing technology and enrolling customers in self‑service products and processes
- Processing checks, cash, and negotiable instruments in accordance with bank policies and procedures
- Ensuring branch adherence to AML/BSA requirements, audit procedures, operational procedures, dual control, security, Business Continuity, and all other regulated banking requirements to protect associates, clients, and bank assets, and assisting in remediation of audit, scorecard, or QC deficiencies
- Proactively resolving customer concerns in a timely, professional and positive manner, escalating issues when necessary
- Balancing the daily cash drawer and monitoring own work for accuracy
- Following instructions and responding to management direction to resolve difficult customer objections, solving problems to retain the customer relationship
- Adhering to Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct
- Following all safety and security procedures
- Handling assigned vault responsibilities if required
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 6 months cash handling experience required
- Minimum of 6 months previous experience in retail sales and/or financial services preferred
- Flexible schedule required with ability to work during hours of operations, including weekends and occasional non‑bank operational hours
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills demonstrated
- Ability to work independently and exercise a high degree of initiative
- PC proficiency on Desktop, Laptop, Tablet, and Smartphone devices as well as Microsoft Office Suite software
