This role supports loan closings by coordinating with processors, closing agents, and internal staff to ensure timely and accurate closing documentation.
Responsibilities- Review for accuracy all information in the Loan Origination System required to close a loan.
- Wire necessary funds to the closing agent within the required time frame.
- Review and approve the final Closing Disclosure (CD) from the closing agent prior to funding the loan and releasing keys to the borrower.
- Become familiar with investors’ and state closing requirements, forms, and procedures and comply.
- Check all loan documents for correctness and accuracy prior to funding.
- Coordinate closings with escrow coordinators, Branch Managers, and Loan Officers.
- Interface with processors and borrowers to collect conditions of approval.
- Anticipate closing requirements and manage timelines to meet funding goals.
- Monitor fees charged, collected, and waived to ensure proper revenue.
- Follow up and obtain documents or corrections noted by Post Closing Department or investors.
- Assist Closing Supervisor as needed.
- Collaborate with Division Manager and Loan Officers on local marketing campaigns as applicable.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3–5 years of closing and/or closing and processing experience for Conventional/FHA/VA loans
- Strong computer background with 3–5 years of mortgage software experience
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of office procedures
- Current knowledge of closing and title requirements
- Valid driver’s license
