We’re looking for an
Auto Loan Collections Specialist
to join our team in
Tallahassee, FL In this role, you’ll manage delinquent auto-loan accounts, work directly with customers to find appropriate resolutions, and play an important role in protecting both the customer relationship and the company’s interests.

What You’ll DoAs an Auto Loan Collections Specialist, you’ll:
- Manage assigned auto-loan accounts through all stages of delinquency, from
one day past due through repossession referral and support
. - Make high-volume inbound and outbound customer contacts to understand the reason for delinquency and identify appropriate solutions.
- Negotiate payment arrangements within established company guidelines and monitor promises to pay.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of customer contacts, payment arrangements, account changes, complaints, visits, and repossession recommendations.
- Use approved skip-tracing and account-research methods to locate customers and update contact information.
- Answer customer questions and resolve routine concerns professionally, escalating sensitive or higher-risk matters when appropriate.
- Identify accounts that meet established criteria for repossession consideration and make recommendations to the Branch Manager.
- Partner with the Remarketing Department by providing necessary account information and documentation for approved repossessions.
- Conduct occasional local customer visits when telephone contact has been unsuccessful and an account is approaching repossession referral.
- Complete welcome calls with newly opened auto-loan customers to establish relationships, verify contact information, answer questions, and review payment expectations and options.
- Provide requested account information or documentation to the appropriate department for insurance claims.
- Provide backup support for administrative functions necessary to maintain branch operations while keeping collections as your primary responsibility.
- Deliver courteous, professional service to customers, dealers, and internal partners.
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- 2+ years of collections experience.
- Auto-finance, consumer-lending, or closely related collections experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- The ability to manage a high-volume account queue while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities.
- The ability to handle sensitive and confidential financial information with discretion.
- Comfort using account-management and communication systems.
- The ability to work effectively with branch management, internal departments, dealers, and other partners.
- A valid driver’s license and legally required automobile insurance, along with reliable transportation for occasional local customer visits.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
This is a
full-time, onsite position
at our Tallahassee, FL location.
Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–5:30 PM
Occasional Saturdays as required by branch operations
