MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Five (5) years of professional or nonprofessional experience in administrative work, regulatory work, consumer complaint program work, interviewing, business administration, customer or public relations, or investigations can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.

An equivalent combination of education and experience which equals five (5) years can substitute for the above requirements.

A bachelor’s degree (4 years) from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of the required experience as listed above.

This position has regulatory responsibilities and is subject to the provisions of s. 112.313, Florida Statutes 60L-36.003, Florida Administrative Code.

JOB DUTIES:

Review documents for certified operator, identification card holder, limited certificate, public health, commercial applicator, and private applicator, and public applicator applications to determine eligibility and compliance with Chapter 388, 482, and 487 F.S., and Rules 5E-9, 5E-13, and 5E-14, F.A.C. for certification or registration. Evaluate applications to determine appropriate action, including:

  • analyzing documents received to determine compliance with state laws and rules.
  • verifying fee payments.
  • reviewing certificate of insurance documents to determine compliance of statute and rule.
  • communicating any deficiencies in applications via email or mail.
  • reviewing and processing documents received as a result of a deficiency letter response in a timely manner.
  • issuing licenses, certificates, registrations, permits, and/or limited certificates when all requirements are met.
  • sending appropriate documentation when an application has been denied because deficiencies were never addressed within the time frames prescribed by law and providing notice of rights with the denial letter.
