- Two (2) years of customer service experience.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- One (1) year of FLAIR experience.
- Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Detail oriented.
- Experience answering multi-line phone.
- Experience with Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Marketing or Economics from an accredited college or university.
Due to the job duties of this position, the work hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday with an hour for lunch.
This position is
NOT
eligible for teleworking. Applicants will be required to work in the Tallahassee Office located at 1801 Hermitage Blvd.
Interview will consist of oral interview questions.
The salary range for this position is $40,000.00 - $84,533.60.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.
This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.

Ability to evaluate and analyze data, identify errors and take corrective action. Ability to solve problems and make decisions. Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to retirement. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to compose correspondence. Ability to work independently. Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculation. Ability to interpret, understand and disseminate laws, regulations, policies and procedures to others.
Knowledge of processes and procedures for handling personally identifiable information (PII). Ability to handle a variety of complex situations independently or with limited supervision. Extensive knowledge in analyzing and interpreting data related to retirement services and the ability to provide all relevant options to participants or perspective participants.
This is a professional position that provides service statewide for the Deferred Compensation Program. The Deferred Compensation Program authorized under Section 457(b), Internal Revenue Service Code provides employees’ a way to supplement retirement savings income by contributing to a variety of investment and bank products.
