Duties And Responsibilities

This position monitors and provides procedural support to coding staff of the Bureau of Records Uniform Traffic Citation (UTC) Coding Unit. This support includes tasks related to the agency's participation in the State-to-State (S2S) Driver History Record (DHR) program. The incumbent in this position will receive phone calls and email inquiries, research, respond, and update information related to driver license and driver history using various sources.

The position will be responsible for drafting, understanding, applying, and providing appropriate feedback on established guidelines and procedures to carry out these tasks.

  • Skill in collecting, reviewing, verifying, and analyzing data.

  • Ability to multi-task, plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to identify and evaluate functional and infrastructure requirements and make recommendations relating to the improvement of daily operations.

General Information
  • The elements of the selection process may include a skill assessment and/or oral interview.
  • Applicants being considered for employment will be required to submit to a fingerprint-based background investigation, which will include a check of the criminal history records of the FBI. Fingerprints and associated information/biometrics will be retained in the FBI’s Next Generation Identification (NGI) system and fingerprints may continue to be compared against fingerprints submitted to or retained by NGI.
  • OPS employees at FLHSMV are paid biweekly. All state employees are required to participate in the direct deposit program pursuant to s. 110.113 Florida Statutes.
