Location: Tyndall Air Force Base
Duties
* Responsible for providing direct personnel support and guidance on the execution of the Promotion Program for 1AF (AFNORTH & AFSPACE)
* Responsible for maintaining the selection, training, assignment, and utilization of 1AF (AFNORTH & AFSPACE regular Active Duty, Guard, and Reserve officers/enlisted to/from command (to include subordinate units)
* Manages the Talent Market Place System for 1 AF (AFNORTH & AFSPACE), subordinate units and Canadian detachments
* Manages, directs and administers the Stratification, Force Management and Force Development programs for 1AF (AFNORTH & AFSPACE)
* Performs management advisory services on assigned programs Requirements Conditions of employment

* Requires travel by military or commercial air to conferences, meetings, or other functions away from the duty site
* The employee is required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays and is subject to short or no-notice recall to duty for emergency situations or exercises
* Overtime may be required as workload demands
* Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance
* Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, Human Resources Management, Series 0201. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE AS A GS-09:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience include:
Knowledge of, and skill in applying, the principles, practices, and procedures involved in administering a military officer/enlisted promotions program sufficient to: advised on eligibility and submitting packages; retrieve reports and process actions; compile statistics and analyze trends of promotions or other military programs; and serve as a technical resource to managers and costumers. OR
EDUCATION:
Must have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position.

A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

You must submit a copy of your transcripts. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in
-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
NOTE:
Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCEAS A GS-11:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience include:
Knowledge of military personnel regulations, practices, policies, and Military Personnel Data System (MilPDS) sufficient to: interpret and advise managers and customers, retrieve data, process actions, and conduct briefings.
