We are seeking candidates who are motivated, analytical, and possess excellent data analysis and report writing skills. The role offers the opportunity to advance career while protecting the citizenship of Florida through quality assurance, monitoring, compliance, and support activities.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Motorist Services (MS) Analyst II works independently in a professional project‑oriented position that ensures accurate issuance of driver license and motor vehicle credentials. Responsibilities include conducting advanced reviews of non‑compliant driver license and motor vehicle issuance transactions, generating complex written and statistical reports to identify weaknesses, recommending changes and enhancements, and working with management to resolve potential issues.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Effective oral and written communication.
- Data collection, analysis, and organization.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel functions, pivot tables, and conditional formatting.
- Understanding and applying applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to determine compliance with Motorist Services program standards.
- Experience with ORION, FDLIS, FRVIS, DAVID, and SAVE.
- Research, data evaluation, and recommendation development.
- Preparation and delivery of professional papers, research studies, presentations, evaluations, and reports.
- Planning, coordinating, and managing multiple work assignments with varied deadlines.
- Problem‑solving and decision‑making techniques.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with others.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- At least five years of experience in FDLIS/ORION and/or FRVIS.
- Applicants must have experience issuing driver licenses and/or motor vehicle titles or registrations through ORION, FDLIS, and/or FRVIS.
- This position may require alternate work hours or days, and travel, including occasional overnight travel.
- Applicants must possess a valid Class E or higher driver’s license, be at least 21 years of age, and have no major driving violations in the past three years.
We are looking for interested candidates for positions located in the following counties:
Broward, Duval, Leon, Miami‑Dade, and Palm Beach.
- The selection process may include a skill assessment and/or oral interview.
- Applicants may be required to submit to a fingerprint‑based background investigation, which will include a criminal history check of the FBI.
- FLHSMV employees are paid once a month on the last workday of each month; all state employees participate in direct deposit as required by statute.
