FULL TIME / CAREER SERVICE

POSITION LOCATION: Tallahassee, FL (relocation benefits are not available for this position)

Responsibilities:

Provides direction, guidance and technical assistance for workforce programs which includes the development of appropriate training and providing the training as needed.

Conducts research of federal and state statutes, regulations and other governing authorities to develop, review and update programmatic policies, procedures, guidelines, and state and local plans.

Evaluates the impact of statutes, regulations and governing authorities on operations, identifies potential problems, and recommends appropriate action.

Provides direction and guidance to agency management, program administrator and staff in the management and operation of programs and responsibilities.

Consults with management on the development and implementation of training and technical assistance to improve workforce program outcomes.

Investigates, assesses, analyzes, and makes recommendation(s) to resolve issues and problems presented by management staff.

Consults with staff members to develop solutions for programmatic operational problems.

Participates in quality assurance reviews, assists with or prepares reports, and follows up on concerns.

Provides feedback on updating quality assurance tools, as needed.

Participates in data validation on site reviews, as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis.
  • Knowledge of basic management principles and practices.
  • Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials.
  • Ability to utilize problem‑solving techniques.

Qualifications:

As a condition of pre‑employment eligibility, a Level 2 security background screening is required, which consists of fingerprinting and a check of local, state, and national law enforcement records.

Minimum:

  • Duties and responsibilities of this position must be performed at the official work site of the Department.
  • Travel is required.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or four years of equivalent work experience that is relevant to this position.
  • At least two years of experience researching federal and state statutes, regulations and other governing authorities for a state or federal‑funded program.
  • At least two years of experience providing training and technical assistance for a state or federal‑funded program.
  • At least two years of experience working with workforce programs.
  • Professional writing experience.
  • Florida Certified Contract Manager (FCCM) certification is a plus.

Pay:

$42,776.88 – $55,000.00 Annually
