Job Summary
This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located in Central Office in Tallahassee, Florida. The Office of the Inspector General protects and promotes public integrity and accountability within the Florida Department of Corrections through investigations, audits, and inspections.
Responsibilities- Compile and disseminate correspondence from various agencies, the public, and other sources to maintain an exchange of pertinent information within the Department and law‑enforcement agencies.
- Request, receive, analyze, and document confidential criminal and intelligence information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Utilize electronic, technical, and support systems equipment.
- Check and manage incoming and outgoing mail.
- Handle inmate grievances and other inmate correspondence.
- Tackle incoming calls to the Inspector General’s Office.

The Florida Department of Corrections requires all applicants to pass a Level 2 background check as per Chapter 435, Florida Statutes. This check must be completed before employment.
