The Revenue Specialist III position is located in the Florida Department of Revenue's General Tax Administration Program, Receivables Management division in Sarasota. The incumbent contacts taxpayers to resolve tax liabilities, coordinates filing and enforcement actions, executes levies and garnishments, issues subpoenas, and prepares legal documentation. This role involves local travel to taxpayer business locations and occasional overnight travel for training.
Key qualifications- Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue within the General Tax Administration Program
- Nine months of experience collecting tax obligations within the General Tax Administration Program
- Ability to travel locally to taxpayer business locations and occasional overnight travel
- Experience executing levies, garnishments, and legal enforcement actions
- Skills in preparing legal affidavits and coordinating enforcement actions
