Location: Eglin Air Force Base
Duties The primary purpose of this position is:
To provide the full range of aviation management resources for the unit pertaining to assigned rated/ non-rated/ career enlisted/non-career enlisted aircrew. Provide accurate data analysis to unit and operational leadership, ensuring force and resource readiness to accomplish unit mission and an effective liaison with other agencies, functions, and individuals. Additionally, provides training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein.
DUTIES: DUTY 1:
Plans, implements and controls all operational administrative aspects of aviation resource management. Serves as an advisor/principle contact for unit leadership and other management officials. Provides consultative, advisory, and administrative services involving the full range of aviation management functions. DUTY 2:
Maintains and updates Aviation Resource Management System (ARMS), Patriot Excalibur (PEX)/Omni, and other aviation management software:
Operates, maintains, and monitors all pertinent aviation management software at the unit level. Analyzes training requirements and translates into training table. Maintains individual training table. DUTY 3:
Researches, validates, and interprets public law, Air Force guidance, and medical/physiological documentation to monitor and manage flying and ground training requirements. Applies complex flight/jump eligibility rules IAW Public Law, DoD, and Air Force guidance. DUTY 4:
Substantiates personnel listings, determines position status and performs a wide range of administrative duties. Acts as OPR for the Rated Officer Flying Program to include monitoring Aviation Positions Indicator (API) codes, Aviation Service Codes (ASC), entitlement status and flying status to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations. * PCS cost will not be paid by gaining unit

* Total salary varies depending on location of position
* This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
* Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
* Shift work and emergency overtime may be required
* Employee must maintain current certifications

EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge and experience in applying medical administrative, personnel, training and performance/process improvement concepts, principles, and theories; and qualitative analysis methods relating to the management of the medical unit and the medical force protection programs supporting the wing.
