Location: Tallahassee
This Government Operations Consultant II position in the Department of Health's Bureau of WIC Program Services performs complex administrative and financial oversight work. The incumbent monitors local agency financial management, coordinates budget documents, and ensures federal and state compliance for the WIC program. The role requires high-level judgment and independence in managing grant funds, preparing reports, and providing technical assistance to local agencies.
Keyqualifications:
- Knowledge of accounting procedures, Florida State Governmental Accounting, and WIC Program regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and microcomputers
- Ability to analyze financial transactions, reconcile accounting records, and compile and evaluate data
- Strong written and oral communication skills for presenting technical information to diverse audiences
- Wiling to work in-office in Tallahassee, FL to perform duties
