Location: Tallahassee
The Department of Juvenile Justice seeks a Law Enforcement Liaison/Community Partnership Coordinator to bridge the agency and criminal justice partners in implementing a focused-deterrence strategy to reduce firearm re-offending among juveniles. This non-law-enforcement role requires building relationships with police, courts, and stakeholders; delivering training; and coordinating outreach across a statewide probation team. The position requires travel and demands strong communication and organizational skills grounded in criminal justice experience.
Keyqualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of active law enforcement, parole, probation, or court system experience
- Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related field preferred (equivalent work experience accepted)
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Power Point
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders
- High ethical standards with ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
