The Crime Intelligence Analyst I compiles, analyzes, and disseminates criminal intelligence information from various agencies and sources within the Florida Department of Corrections Office of the Inspector General. The position works in the Analysis Unit to coordinate interstate and intrastate information pertaining to criminal activity, gang activities, and inmate-related matters, while preparing comprehensive written reports and ensuring accurate information is shared with proper authorities.
Keyqualifications:
- At least two years of experience in intelligence, investigations, or analysis with a high school diploma; OR one year of such experience with an associate's degree in criminal justice or related disci
- Valid driver's license required
- Experience and/or postsecondary education in criminal science discipline (preferred)
- Certified Law Enforcement Analyst (preferred)
- Pass Level 2 background check per Florida Statutes Chapter 435
- U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
