OPS Financial Specialist

The OPS Financial Specialist serves as the Funding Support Specialist for Everglades Restoration Projects at the Department of Environmental Protection's Office of Water Policy Ecosystems Restoration in Tallahassee. The role involves processing, tracking, and managing invoices from the South Florida Water Management District, ensuring compliance with State purchasing guidelines, maintaining tracking databases, and assisting with grant management and fund disbursements. The incumbent will work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with core hours 9AM–3PM, and coordinate with Federal, State, and local agency staff on restoration activities.

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required
• At least 4 years of verifiable related experience in grant funding, contract management, or invoice processing
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, and Share Point
• Knowledge of Florida Statutes Chapters 215, 216, 287, 373, and 375, and basic accounting principles
• Must obtain and maintain Florida Certified Contract Manager certification within 1 year of hire
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple complex projects independently
