The Omni Ft. Lauderdale Hotel is a 29-story hotel located at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd, connected directly to the Broward County Convention Center. The property offers 801 guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurants, a vibrant rooftop bar, a sprawling pool, spa, and fitness center. The hotel has over 120,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom, junior ballroom, 25 breakout rooms and pre-function meeting space with waterfront views.

JOB PURPOSE: The stylist is responsible for guest satisfaction in the spa by performing services to the best of their ability and maintaining Omni standards throughout all procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Work as part of the spa therapy team to consistently provide the highest possible standard of treatment, creating a sensory journey for guests helping them to rest, relax and regain a sense of balance and harmony in their lives.
• Set up the treatment rooms according to procedures and dispose of laundry in a timely basis.
• Maintain sanitation of work area and equipment as required by state board guidelines.
• Ensure all professional stock is being used in compliance with the PAR levels to assist with reduction in product waste.
• Begin and end treatments at the published time and ensure correct procedures of all treatments are followed at all times.
• Ensure all guests depart with a completed prescription form after each service.
• Strive to consistently produce a minimum of 15% in retail sales.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1 year of minimum experience in skincare, makeup application and waxing.
• Current State of Tennessee Cosmetology or Esthetics License.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.

ENVIRONMENT & POSITION ANALYSIS:

• Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance. Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Requires repetitive motion, including utilizing telephone/computer for an extended period or for an entire shift.

TOOLS & EQUIPMENT:

• Desktop computer (Opera, Open Spa, Oracle, Birchstreet, Kronos and Microsoft Office), printer, telephone, copier, fax machine and scanner.
