Job Summary: The Hair Stylist performs professional cuts, styles, chemical services, and therapeutic hair and scalp treatments. The stylist must possess and maintain knowledge of current hairstyles and trends, demonstrate excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills, and be willing to train in the spa’s specific hair and scalp service offerings. Excellent communication skills and product knowledge are required to provide effective beauty solutions to guests.

A current state license is mandatory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Arrive on time for shifts and complete appointments within the allotted time.
• Provide consistent professional hair treatments in accordance with spa protocols and certification practices.
• Be flexible with the schedule to support the needs of the Beauty Shop.
• Care for equipment and use appropriate product amounts to assist with cost controls.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all services and products and educate guests in these areas.
• Actively promote home care programs while meeting minimum retail sales goals.
• Uphold sanitation and sterilization standards as directed by law and salon policies.
• Perform prep work and keep the work area clean and restocked.
• Communicate to management any occurrences involving staff or guests that require attention.
• Promote the salon, treatments, services, sessions, and retail offerings.
• Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
• Provide accurate and immediate responses to all guest requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Work independently without direct supervision.
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a quality work environment.
• Attend and participate in training and staff meetings.
• Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Hold and maintain a Florida cosmetology license with a minimum of three years’ experience in the field.
• Maintain a current CPR/AED certification.
• Club experience preferred.
