Our critical access hospital also provides primary care at Lake Butler Family & Pediatric Clinic; and outpatient therapy, such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and hand therapy at Lake Butler Hospital Rehabilitation Center.

Helps occupational therapy patients by providing rehabilitative services, under the direction of occupational therapists, to persons with mental, physical, emotional, or developmental impairments. Treats disabilities, injuries and diseases according to the prescription of a physician and plan of care created by the Occupational Therapist with the various modalities and skills of the profession for people suffering from mental, physical, emotional or developmental impairments.
Carries out treatment plans to restore, compensate or adapt for loss of patient function.

Requirements EducationMust be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program. Must have state licensure and the national certification requirements met.
ExperienceWith educational requirements met, no prior experience is necessary. One year in a hospital is preferred. Ability to fabricate all varieties of splints is also preferred.
SkillsBedside manner. Genuine concern for completeness and organization. Have a working knowledge of policies and procedures. Additionally, the incumbent shall understand this position may require varied hours and weekend work, as dictated to meet the patient’s needs.
KnowledgeAccurate, mature, flexible person who is meticulous to detail. Demonstrates responsibility to patient / employee confidentiality.
