Phlebotomist

Overview

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.

• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• Maintain direct contact with patients and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
• Demonstrate Leadership Behaviors with a focus on process excellence and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general.

  Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric populations.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
• Minimum of 6 months experience;
  One or more years phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience required.
• Candidates must be within a 20–25 minute commute window to ensure ability to travel to/from the site for coverage.
• Shift/Time Zone: 5:30am–2:30pm Mon-Fri; rotational Sat 6am–1pm.

• Technical Certification Bonus: A bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification related to the current position. One Certification Bonus per calendar year. Eligible current, active employees receive the bonus 90 days after documentation of successful completion.
