Front Desk Scheduling Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Front Desk/Scheduling Coordinator to join our Sarasota, FL office. This role serves as a primary point of contact for patients, ensuring accurate appointment scheduling and a positive first impression of our organization.

Job Responsibilities
  • Monday - Thursday 7:45am - 6:00pm
  • Manage patient scheduling, confirmations, reschedules, and cancellations
  • Handle incoming calls and electronic scheduling requests with a patient-focused approach
  • Verify patient information and appointment requirements
  • Provide clear instructions on appointment prep, arrival times, and office policies
  • Monitor cancellations, waitlists, and open slots to optimize provider availability
  • Communicate schedule changes and urgent needs to clinical and admin teams
  • Maintain accurate scheduling records in the HER
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and follow established workflows and customer service standards
  • Assist with routine patient inquiries and elevate concerns as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn EHR systems
  • Experience in a multi-provider outpatient medical practice (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification (Preferred)
