Overview

Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant [CNA]
Location: Chattahoochee, FL
Duration: 3+ Months
Candidates will need to attend a full two week orientation, working Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
Candidate may be required to work 16 hr shift as needed

Work Environment

The North Florida Evaluation and Treatment Center (NFETC) is a maximum security, all male forensic mental health facility located in Gainesville, Florida. It has a current capacity of 193 residents.

Type Of Patients

The average age of our residents is early 30's. The goal is to get those committed as Incompetent to Proceed to Trial to back to their committing courts for disposition of their charges, and those committed as Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity to a less restrictive environment.

Candidate Responsibilities
  • Assist with all aspects of resident care as assigned by the nurse/shift supervisor, including activities of daily living, ambulation, mobility, and nutrition.
  • Observe, identify, and report resident concerns or needs to the shift supervisor.
  • Document information factually and objectively, within acceptable time frame as defined by facility policy.
  • Provide safe and supportive observation and effectively monitor assigned residents.
  • Complete assignments timely, completely, accurately and in a cooperative manner.
  • Provide the necessary assistance when giving residents the following activities of daily living nursing care: oral hygiene, bathing, dressing, and grooming, hair and nail care, shaving, toileting, eating and drinking, and mobility.
  • Assist with monitoring and accountability of residents to enable medical personnel to accomplish health related tasks.
  • Display professionalism throughout employment including, but not limited to, arriving to work on time, maintaining an accurate timesheet, and maintaining professional appearance as defined by facility policy.
