Bay Care is currently in search of our newest Occupational Therapist who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. The South Florida Baptist Hospital - Outpatient Rehabilitation Center in Valrico, Florida, offers a comprehensive range of treatment for people dealing with sports injuries, neurological conditions, orthopedic problems, speech disorders and other conditions that cause mobility limitations.

- Use standardized assessments, clinical observations, and patient interviews to determine the impact of the patient’s condition on their ability to perform daily tasks.
- Identify patient strengths, challenges, and potential goals for therapy.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessment results.
- Design and implement interventions aimed at improving patients’ functional abilities and independence in daily activities.
- Provide hands‑on interventions to improve fine motor skills, gross motor skills, strength, coordination, and cognitive function.
- Implement techniques to improve memory, attention, problem‑solving, and other cognitive functions, especially for patients with neurological conditions.
- Support family members and caregivers with understanding the patient’s needs
- Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate a patient’s readiness for discharge, ensuring they are safe and able to perform necessary ADLs independently or with the help of family and caregivers.
- Provide recommendations for home modifications, further rehabilitation, and outpatient therapy if necessary.
- Ensure a smooth transition from inpatient care to outpatient or home‑based therapy services.
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- OT (Occupational Therapy)
- Or OT (Occupational Therapy) Eligible to obtain
- Required Bachelor’s Occupational Therapy
- Preferred
