Ops Nutrition Educator

Working Title

OPS NUTRITIONATOR -

• Complete timesheet and EAR entry within required time frame
• Subject to emergency duty in the event of a natural disaster
• Work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency; perform duties such as working in special needs or Red Cross shelters or other emergency responses
• Maintain confidentiality of records containing social security numbers and client information per state and federal laws
• Provide phone response and assistance for the FDOH Marion County WIC Program/Breastfeeding Program; promote cooperation, courtesy and teamwork; represent the agency and its mission and values; access governed by laws; maintain current knowledge of the Federal WIC program regulations including WIC memos, WIC FL-WiSE clinic manual and the FL WIC Manual DHM 150-24
• Answer multi-line phone calls and input information into the FL-WISE computer system; transfer calls to multiple locations and recipients; triage calls to program staff for proper and timely handling; assist callers and clients with program questions, appointment scheduling and informing them what they may need to bring at their upcoming appointment

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited college or university (minimum)
• Valid Driver License (minimum)
• Willing to travel to clinics using your own vehicle (minimum)
• Experience completing nutrition counseling, assessments and writing nutrition care plans (preferred)
• Experience working the WIC program (preferred)
