Overview
Wakulla County Fire Rescue has immediate need of full-time and flex/part-time Firefighter Paramedics. This position works under the supervision of the on-duty Captain to provide fire and rescue services including emergency response, advanced pre-hospital life support, patient care and transport, rescue and extrication, structure and wildland fire suppression.
• Duties include the operation and maintenance of fire and rescue apparatus and equipment.
Responsibilities- Respond to emergency calls and provide fire and rescue services including emergency response, advanced pre-hospital life support, patient care and transport, rescue and extrication, structure and wildland fire suppression under the supervision of the on-duty Captain.
- Operate and maintain fire and rescue apparatus and equipment.
- High School diploma or acceptable equivalent
- Valid Florida Driver’s License
- State of Florida Paramedic Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider certification
- Florida Firefighter II Certification
- Certificate of completion of an approved Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC)
- Certificates of completion of FEMA IS-00100, IS-00200, IS-00700, IS-00800 Courses
- Ability to pass FBI Background Check
- Ability to pass pre-employment firefighter physical and drug screening
