OPS HEALTH SUPPORT TECHNICIAN - 1
As a Health Support Technician, you will play a pivotal role in our healthcare team, focusing on both clinical and clerical support functions.
- Health Support Functions
- Laboratory Support:
Collect, label, and process specimens for various laboratory analyses as required. - Bilingual Client Support:
Provide essential Spanish translation services to assist clients with limited English proficiency. - Clinical Preparation:
Prepare clients for clinic visits by accurately recording height, weight, temperature, and medical history. - Assist Physicians:
Support physicians during patient care, treatments, and procedures; ensure equipment readiness and sterilization post-procedure. - Clinic Coordination:
Maintain efficient clinic operations by preparing exam rooms and guiding clients through their visit. - Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage medical supplies to uphold seamless clinic operations. - Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare reports to ensure compliance with state programs and assist in specialized treatments.

Utilize the HMS system to schedule appointments accurately. Schedule clients for tests and procedures. - Administrative Support:
Assist with referrals and follow-ups as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish preferred
- Advanced knowledge in laboratory procedures
- Proficient in phlebotomy techniques
- Proficient in electronic medical records
Qualifications:
- One year of clinical experience in a medical facility
- Proficiency in venipunctures
Preferred –
- Experience assisting physicians during medical visits and procedures
